How to apply for new connection in Sector 135 Noida:
To close on this :
1. We need to go to the electricity office ( PVNNL ) which is on the first floor above PNB ( near Ankur Electronics) , Sector 18 branch.
2. Fill up the new connection form with photograph and get it attested.
3. Submit photocopies of
- ID proof
- Possession letter
- Allotment letter
- Lease/HPTA deed
- Original Fitting report ( you can call any of the numbers that are put up on the notice board in the office. They would bring this to you in 15 minutes and they charge around Rs 100 per KV. )
Ideally fitting report is to be provided by the contractor who has done the actual work at the site. They agree to do so only after you get the wiring etc done and sign on the paper that all work is complete. Without a meter, you cannot actually agree that the work is complete since you are unable to test the same. So this option does not work in our favor.
4. For 8 KVA you pay around Rs 13125/- in cash. They would also accept a draft if you need to give one. Take the DD details from the counter when taking the form.
Within 15 days, your form reaches the branch at sector 108. The linesmen at the Sector 135 substation pick this form up and the meter and fix it up for you. Their substation is in the yellow building on the way to the ATS tower on the right side.
Before fixing the meter, ensure that wires are available on the inlet of your meter box. If not, the electrical contractor needs to put in this wire concealed in a PVC pipe, which may involve some breakage of kota tiles and putting a groove on the wall. Also, output wires from the meter has to be provided by the electrical contractor. They try to get you to pay money for these wires or ask you to bring them. This you can refuse strongly. All wires are to be fitted by the Electrical contractors.
